Desktop app: 'Not trusted' warning

Why Windows SmartScreen flags the desktop installer and how to proceed safely.
When you install the Cloud Office desktop app on Windows, you may see a SmartScreen warning that says “Windows protected your PC” or labels the installer as “Not trusted”.
Why this happens
Windows SmartScreen flags new code-signing certificates until they build a reputation, even when the binary is signed. New installers — even legitimate ones — show this warning until enough Windows users have run them.
Is it safe?
Yes. The installer is signed by Ughoron Technology. You can verify by right-clicking the .exe → Properties → Digital Signatures.
How to proceed
- Click More info on the SmartScreen dialog.
- Click Run anyway.
- The installer proceeds normally.
What we're doing about it
We're working on EV code-signing, which removes the warning immediately. Until then, the “Run anyway” flow is the supported path.
